Up To My Ears In Korean Au & Ag Coins
I was doing my semi-monthly peruse of the usual gold and silver districts in Seoul this weekend and found a hole in the wall shop that's been there for decades. It's an old man who has to be in his 70's who has TONS of old Korean and Japanese coins. I bought dozens of 1988 Korean Olympic sets, 1993 Expo, and 2002 coin sets. So many in fact, they filled up 2 large backpacks and I had to have a friend help me carry them home. I also found some old Canadian Olympic coins, old US Memorial coins, Russian memorial coins, etc...
He wasn't aware of the current price of silver, because they're about par with the market price. But prior to this, they must have sat for years because he wanted too much money for them. Most are proof with the cert of authenticity in their original cases. They're going straight into storage for a couple of years.
